Gracie is a Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain dog mixed. She was rescued for Independence Animal Shelter. In October of 2024 she was placed in an elementary school library. She is loving her life! Students read to her daily, she helps kids overcome fears, and helps counselors work with kids on a one on one basis. Gracie is a school favorite. Her least favorite thing so far are snow days. Although she loves playing in the snow, she hates not being around her students!
